Learn the basics of hand building items in clay. We will explore pieces made from rolled and textured slabs. You will create a vase from the slab. Then we will also pursue the oldest style of creating with clay which is pinching bowls from large spheres of moist clay. These are projects you could go on to make at your own kitchen table with simple tools.

In this second class you will glaze your work. Pick up finished pieces a few weeks later after they have been fired (cooked) them one final time. You’re pottery will be food safe.
