Learn the basics of hand building items in clay.  We will explore pieces made from rolled and textured slabs.  You will create a vase from the slab.  Then we will also pursue the oldest style of creating with clay which is pinching bowls from large spheres of moist clay.  These are projects you could go on to make at your own kitchen table with simple tools.

The second class you will come back to class to glaze your work then pick them up a couple weeks later after I have fired (cooked) them one final time.  They will all be food safe.
